Hello Gilbert,
I was not in the unit when you where there, but you did return to take the healm for a brief period in the early 80's, only for a few weeks if I remember. I think I am right in saying that you worked at the tunnel, and I used to see you there from time to time, obviously you did'nt know me but I recognised you from that time in the 80's and from the donated pictures on the site in which you appear. Email address's do not appear on the site I'm afraid so you will have to contact me directly phil@fort105.co.uk to give me her email address, and we will take it from there. I am off on a jolly at the weekend so do be worried If i dont get back to you in a hurry...
Phil

Hello Heather,
I am glad you are enjoying the site and the memories it brings you. I did not know your Dad, he was before my time at the fort, but I know quite a few like him that enjoyed the bar lol, me included. I think we all miss the social side to 105, but it is good to have a look at times gone by via the pages on the site. You are quite welcome to come back as much as you like and have a gawp, its free.
Phil
Delighted to discover site . so many happy memories of the fort , not least that my mam and dad Rennie and Joan Ditchburn , lived there as caretakers till 1980 . My dad passed away in the caretakers house on 29/11/1980 , he would have only been happier if he had died in the bar .... his favourite place .
I met my husband at a new years dance , got married from the fort , and had the most amazing wedding reception
there ! Happy days from long ago .
I am still looking for material to add to the site so if you have any photo's etc which you can add to the collection please contact me and I will arrange collection & return
Thanks for the info Bob, I remember Mac very well, he was a canny kid.
